Terms of Service
Last updated: 12 September 2026 · Draft pending counsel review · Trust Center
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of Scriven, operated by Prehoy Industries (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. The service
Scriven provides transcription, speaker diarization, and a human-in-the-loop editor for confidential audio, in on-device and cloud modes. Cloud processing and storage occur in the region you select (US, EU, Singapore, or Japan). AI output is a draft; you are responsible for reviewing and correcting the record before relying on it.
3. Accounts & organizations
You must provide accurate account information and keep credentials secure. Organization owners are responsible for seats, billing, and member access.
4. Acceptable use
- You may upload privileged or confidential audio you are authorized to process.
- You may not use Scriven for unlawful surveillance, malware distribution, or to violate others’ rights.
- You may not attempt to disrupt or reverse-engineer the service except as allowed by law.
5. Customer content
You retain ownership of your audio and transcripts. You grant us a limited license to host and process that content solely to provide Scriven in your chosen region (or on-device). We do not use customer content to train models.
6. Plans, billing & trials
Paid plans, cloud minutes, and add-ons are described on the pricing page and in-product. Fees are billed via our payment processor. Taxes may apply. Unused prepaid cloud packs do not expire unless stated otherwise at purchase.
7. Confidentiality
We treat customer content as confidential and access it only as needed to operate and support the service. Enterprise customers may execute a DPA and, where applicable, a BAA.
8. Disclaimers
Scriven is provided “as is.” Automated transcription and diarization can contain errors. We do not warrant that output is fit for court filing without human review.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from these Terms is limited to the fees you paid us for Scriven in the twelve months before the claim. Draft wording — counsel to finalize.
10. Termination
You may stop using Scriven and delete your organization subject to these Terms. We may suspend accounts that violate acceptable use or create security risk.
11. Governing law
Governing law and venue to be confirmed with counsel (placeholder pending entity jurisdiction).
