1. Who we are
Scriven is operated by Prehoy Industries(“we”, “us”). Contact: privacy@prehoy.com.
2. Data we process
- Account data — name, email, organization, roles, billing contact.
- Audio & transcripts — files you upload and the transcripts, speaker labels, and edits you create.
- Usage & billing — job metadata, plan entitlements, invoices (via our payment processor).
- Download leads — name, work email, and company when you download the desktop installer (for product updates and sales follow-up).
- Technical logs — security and operational logs needed to run the service.
3. Purposes
We process this data to provide Scriven (transcription, diarization, editing, export), authenticate users, bill for plans, secure the service, and respond to support requests. We do not use your audio or transcripts to train models.
4. Regional processing & storage
For cloud mode, you choose a region at sign-in: United States, European Union, Singapore, or Japan. Audio processing and storage for that organization stay in the chosen region. On-device mode keeps audio on your machine.
5. Retention & deletion
You can delete jobs and exports from the product. When you delete content, we remove it from active systems and schedule underlying storage for deletion. Account deletion removes organization data subject to legal retention (e.g. invoices). Exact retention windows will be confirmed with counsel and published here.
6. Sub-processors
We use specialized processors for compute, storage, payments, and email. See Sub-processors. Audio processing processors operate in your selected region.
7. International transfers
Cloud audio and transcripts for an organization are intended to remain in the region you selected. Payment and transactional email may use processors outside that region; they do not receive your audio.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or erase personal data, and to object or restrict certain processing. Contact privacy@prehoy.com.
9. Cookies
After sign-in we use an essential session cookie to keep you logged in. On the public marketing pages only, and only if you choose “Allow analytics”, we use Google Analytics cookies to count visits, see which pages are read, and count free-demo steps and desktop downloads. Those counts do not include your name, email, file name, audio, or transcript. Analytics never runs inside the app, the desktop or mobile apps, or on recordings, transcripts or workspace pages, and we do not use advertising cookies or Google signals.
